In the XLS_READER Class can you please explain how is the date data from excel being converted to string
with an example

Data from xls is ready by default as String
As we told in module 7 - POI api is used top read data
POI API reads data as string

You can go through the reference link as stated in video 7 - that link has detailed examples on POI API
