1) Why do we need to mention the return type as collection Object.

2)Why do we need to convert the 2 dimensional object array into 1 dimensional.

There should be some reason for using above 2 things in Junit.

We need to send data to the test case, The benefit of using Object Array is that we can send data of any type we need to send. Object Array allows us to create an object of elements of the same data type.
