Code to read and write to XLS extension files | Selenium Forum

During training videos it was mentioned that code for read/write from .xls files will be provided later on?
I downloaded the code from website but i do not see any file for read/write from .xls extension.

All i could find is .xlsx extension read/write.

it only works with xlsx file.
