In Module 7 , could you provide the instructions to use log4j newer version?

Its the same way...

Its not changed

Morever we use extent reports these days and log4j is not used

Log4j used to be used to log in reports. Extent reports have inbuild logging mechanism

So you can ignore Log4J as well
