Ashish,
During my jenkins configuration on my system, i faced the following problems.
1. Downloaded 2.189 (Latest version of jenkins war file) , stored in a folder.
2.Thru command prompt, logged into folder where i kept jenkins.war files.
3.Launched browser and typed localhost:8080. Filled password defined in command prompt on getting started page. Control navigated to below page.
4.clicked on Configure proxy . The control navigated to below page
5.clicked on Back button. The control naviagted to below page
I expected to this page.
How to over come this problem.
After filling getting started page information, created login credentials. But am not able to manage maven plugins.
Help me out resolve this issue.

Please use the WAR file method.
And try deleting .jenkins directory under your account as well.
S am tring thru WAR file method.After executing the following command in command prompt
java -jar jenkins.war,
After password geenration i recieved the following message. Attached screen shot for reference.
How to over come this problem..
Note: If port 8080 is used by another process, will it create any problem during installation process..

I started execution thru war method.

Before running the WAR file. please delete .jenkins directory once again.

I tried . Still am unable to configure jenkins on my machine. Still am getting this screen after password been entered. Its blocking.

Please download the latest version again.

Jenkins 2.190.1
There was some issue in that version.
Also, don't forget to delete .jenkins directory again.

Well... For me its just hit and trial
Generally skype or any pther installed app blocks!
