Hi Am getting above error in console. I have also attached my project structure. Please check and advise where i might be going wrong. The gherkin statements are auto generated, i.e i wrote the feature file and did junit run then the missing gherkin statements got printed in console and i used the sme in my step definition.

Did you try debugging the code?

As per the stack trace, the error is possibly at HomePage.java line number 18.

In case the issue persists, then export your project in zip format and share it with us so that we can investigate the issue.

My issue got resolved nw. 

1. uninstalled the cucumber plugin and reinstalled it .

2. downgraded cucumber dependencies version from latest 6.8 to 3.0.2 and the feature steps started identifying corresponding step definition.

not sure if the downgrade version of dependencies had to do anything but thats how it worked.
